Jesus, The One

In Blog, Uncategorized    3 comments

The one constant in my life travels has been Jesus.

The One love.

The One companion.

The One source of wisdom, strength, and fulfillment.

The One refuge of peace.

Other loves have been mine, throughout my journey — those that share my name, home and heart…and those who travel with me less closely but stay with me, nonetheless.

But Jesus…the One true love of my life…has been there before and will be there after.

My life matters because I am His. My future rests because He is.

He is…the good in every gift and the right to every wrong.

The embodiment of holiness.

The prompter to wellness.

The defier of death, motivator of life.

Jesus…who holds my heart tenderly while holding the entirety of existence, space and time in the same hands.  With Him, I find the courage to travel on, despite the fear that nips at my heels while it seeks to run me down.

Today, I offer these few words of love to Him.

Everyday, I pray to live as His servant.

Forever He is and will be…the One.

*As this blog is meant to inspire, encourage, and draw people to Jesus, I share these personal thoughts so that you might also be inspired to write down a few of your thoughts towards Him, today. Wherever you are as you read this, I challenge you to write these thoughts down, in whatever form you choose. By doing so you not only honor your journey with Jesus, but you are reminded of His goodness in your life. Share them with someone, share them here, or keep them to yourself. And join me on Twitter, Facebook or your blog, with a few thoughts and a hashtag of #theOne.  May this simple exercise draw us, and others to Him.

I love this, Lisa: “My life matters because I am His. My future rests because He is.”

And this: “With Him, I find the courage to travel on, despite the fear that nips at my heels while it seeks to run me down.”

Jesus… The One High Priest, yet the One who can relate to us in all things.

    The One abundant grace-giver.

    The One lavisher of peace.

How I love the way you make me think… thought about it all day yesterday and how I could adequately put into words who The One is becoming to me. I am young in faith though I was baptized 28 years ago at a very young age! Anyways… wrote a little post on my blog. Thanks for your inspiration to share!

Wow this is truly beautiful. Yesterday was the day, I returned to the place where my life was altered by someone choices. But in that place, healing awaited me and RELEASE. Pray for me as I move forward and walk out completely my freedom.
