Come on in, make yourself at home, look around, stay awhile.
This is our place…a place for me to share the things on my heart and for you to find community and understanding. We may not always perfectly agree, but our love for Jesus bonds us.
If you’re new to my site, you should know…
…I write blogs here, sometimes. I should write more often. I’ll try to do that this year. (p.s. I think I said that last year, too.)
…I write books, sometimes. Click this link to read more about each one.
…I speak, sometimes. Click this link to find out more about that and how to book me to come speak in your area.
…I am active in my social media community, where I hope to meet you. All the links are easy to find on here.
…I am a fierce family lover, sarcasm over-user, friend loyalist, and chronic dental flosser. Trying new food and taking cool pictures is my thing. Jesus is the longest and deepest love of my life, for real.
I have been working hard on a few new book projects releasing this year I’m excited to tell you about and will be talking much more about in the coming months:
- Put Your Warrior Boots On: Walking Jesus Strong, Once and For All (releasing June 2017)
- 5 Word Prayers, a 40 Day Devotional: Where to Start When You Don’t Know What to Say to God (releasing October 2017) (along with a companion adult coloring book)
But, for today…drumroll, please. There’s something very special I’ve been working on for us.
Maybe you’re like me and you’re tired of the same old making resolutions, breaking them within a few weeks or months…
…setting goals you say you want to achieve but never actually reaching them.
I truly believe there has to be a shift that happens if we are going to walk strong in this new year, and it’s going to start with the way we believe and impart the truth of God’s Word over our life.
The Word has power. The Word has authority. The Word gives strength.
When we declare God’s truth over our life, we walk through our life, differently.
- The news doesn’t cause us to panic.
- The hardships drive us closer to God, not away from Him.
- We drop the need to understand it all to live with joy and purpose.
- Relationships are enjoyed in their proper balance.
To declare literally means to acknowledge possession – to recognize what is already ours and walk in that truth, affirming to ourselves and coming into agreement with God what He has already said about us and about Himself. This is how the Jesus follower is meant to function.
Instead, I see us living below our potential…forgetting who God is and who we are in Him…and as a result, letting every year slip by with us feeling like a defeated victim.
Let’s make this year different.
I’ve written a tool to help us.
It’s called DECLARE: 10-days of affirming truth to live a different kind of strong. And best of all, it is TOTALLY FREE.
When you sign up to receive this free study, starting January 16 and running through January 27 (with the weekend off), here’s what you will receive to your email inbox:
- 10 days of a free Bible Study with Scripture, a short devotion, a couple of take your own inventory questions, and a beautiful shareable graphic with a quote from each day.
- 4 videos from me to tell you a few more things I find important on the subject and just to check in (oh yes…and I’m told there is a silly blooper reel from our video outtakes, too. :D )
In all my years of writing, I have never offered something online as extensive as this, and I couldn’t be more excited. I wrote this for me — for us — because I believe this idea of declaring the Word of God over our life to be a powerful tool for walking a different kind of strong in this world.
I hope you will sign up to receive this study, tell all your friends and family, share it on all your social media sites, spread the word to people who otherwise might not be able to afford to buy a book or wouldn’t normally walk into a church or go to an organized Bible Study. It’s a short 10 day commitment packed with lots of truth I hope and pray will shift some things for some people.
I’m ready to start 2017 differently, aren’t you?
Let’s DECLARE who God is and who we are in Him, together.
I’m so glad you came to here, today.
